Terms and Conditions

These terms govern the credit repair and credit education services First Lane Credit provides, what we charge, when we charge it, and the rights you have under federal law — including your right to cancel and your right to do this work yourself for free.

Effective September 9, 2026 Last updated September 9, 2026 Version 2.1
Bonded — #445054M, $10,000, Westfield Insurance Company Based in Cypress, Texas Not available in Georgia

The short version

This summary is here so you actually know what you agreed to. It is not a substitute for the full terms below or for your signed client agreement — where they differ, the signed agreement controls.

  • 01You are billed $99 per month for an individual plan, or $159 for a couple's plan. A round of dispute correspondence is prepared and sent every billed month — nothing is charged for a month with no round sent, and never at signup.
  • 02Most files run four to six months, so the realistic total is $396 to $594 individually and $636 to $954 for a couple. There is no minimum term — you may cancel any month.
  • 03You may cancel this contract for any reason within three business days of signing it, at no cost and with no penalty. You may also stop service at any time after that.
  • 04We cannot promise any score increase, deletion, approval, or timeline, and accurate information cannot be removed from your credit file.
  • 05You have the right to dispute inaccurate information yourself, directly with the credit bureaus, at no charge. You are not required to hire anyone.

Section 01

Who we are

First Lane Credit is a credit repair organization as that term is defined in the federal Credit Repair Organizations Act, 15 U.S.C. § 1679 and following ("CROA"), and a credit services organization under applicable Texas law. We provide credit report review, credit education, dispute document preparation and processing, consulting, coaching, and credit monitoring support.

We describe ourselves as a credit repair organization deliberately. Some companies in this industry call themselves "education only" to argue they fall outside CROA. We do not make that argument, and we hold ourselves to CROA's requirements in full.

Section 02

Documents you receive and sign before we start

Federal law requires that you receive a written statement of your credit file rights before you sign any contract with us, as a separate document you keep. No work begins, and no fee is incurred, until the following are complete.

  1. Consumer Credit File Rights Under State and Federal Law. Provided to you as a separate written document before you sign anything, as CROA requires. You can read it here at any time.
  2. Credit Services Agreement. Your contract. It states the services to be performed, the total amount you will pay, the payment schedule, our address, and the estimated time to complete the work.
  3. Notice of Cancellation. Two copies, attached to your agreement, that you can use to cancel within three business days. The form and its wording are set out in Section 07 below.
  4. Authorization to Act. Your written permission for us to communicate with the credit reporting agencies and furnishers on your behalf regarding the items you have selected.
  5. Communications consent. Separate, optional consent to contact you by call, text, and email. Covered in Section 10. You are never required to agree to marketing messages to become a client.

Section 03

The services we perform

Your signed agreement lists the specific services purchased. They may include any of the following.

  • Report review and written Blueprint. We review your reports from the applicable credit reporting agencies and identify information that appears inaccurate, incomplete, unverifiable, or obsolete, and give you a written summary of what we found.
  • You choose what is disputed. We advise; you decide. You select which items to challenge, and we will tell you plainly which items we believe are not worth challenging and why.
  • Preparation and processing of correspondence. We prepare the dispute correspondence for the items you selected and send it on your behalf, on your written authorization.
  • Response handling. You forward us correspondence you receive from the credit reporting agencies or furnishers, and we assist with follow-up, including requests for method of verification where appropriate.
  • Written progress reporting. After each completed round you receive a written accounting of what changed, what each agency said, and what we recommend next.
  • Consulting, coaching, and monitoring. Conducted by phone, email, video conference, secure portal, or other agreed means during normal business hours.

Section 04

What we cannot and will not do

  • We cannot remove accurate, timely, verifiable information. If an account is being reported correctly and completely, it stays on your file until it ages off by law. Anyone who tells you otherwise is describing something that does not exist.
  • We cannot guarantee a score increase. Not a number, not a range, not "typically."
  • We cannot guarantee mortgage or credit approval. Credit is one input among income, employment, debt-to-income, assets, and the property itself.
  • We cannot promise a timeline. Credit reporting agencies and furnishers generally have 30 days to respond to a dispute, and some items take several rounds or never resolve.
  • We will not advise you to make an untrue or misleading statement to any credit reporting agency, furnisher, or creditor, and we will not dispute information we know to be accurate.
  • We will not create a new credit identity. We do not obtain or advise the use of an EIN, CPN, or any other number in place of your Social Security number. Doing so is a federal crime.

Any statement by any person that appears to promise a specific outcome is unauthorized and is not binding on First Lane Credit. If a representative or affiliate promises you a result, tell us — that person is violating our policy and federal law.

Section 05

What we need from you

  • Accurate information. You confirm that the identity and account information you give us is true and yours, and that you are not asking us to challenge information you know to be accurate and complete.
  • Your documents. Government-issued photo identification, proof of your current address, your Social Security number, and copies of correspondence you receive from credit reporting agencies and furnishers.
  • Timely responses. Dispute cycles are driven by statutory deadlines. Delays in forwarding mail or approving a round will delay your file.
  • Your own credit conduct. New collections, missed payments, or new accounts opened during service can offset progress. We will tell you what we see; the decisions remain yours.

Section 06

Fees, billing, and total cost

Federal law prohibits a credit repair organization from charging or receiving any money for a service before that service has been fully performed. We do not take advance payments, setup fees, retainers, or deposits. Our billing month is structured so that every charge corresponds to a round of work actually performed that month.

Individual plan

$99 per month

Typical total $396–$594

Couple's plan

$159 per month

Typical total $636–$954

  • What one billed month includes. A round of dispute correspondence prepared and sent for the items you reviewed and approved, our handling of the prior round's responses, and a written progress report — all at no additional charge beyond the monthly fee.
  • When you are charged. Your monthly fee is charged once that month's round of correspondence has been prepared and sent out on your behalf — after the work is performed, not on a fixed calendar date regardless of activity. Nothing is charged at signup, and nothing is charged for the review or your written Blueprint.
  • Response handling and reporting are included. Once a month has been billed, the follow-up on that round — reviewing the responses, requesting method of verification where appropriate, and delivering your written progress report — is included in that same fee.
  • Total amount you will pay. Your total is the number of billed months multiplied by your monthly fee, and nothing more. There are no setup fees, cancellation fees, or charges for postage, portal access, or progress reports.
  • Estimated duration. Most files require four to six billed months. Your agreement states the estimate for your file.
  • No charge for a month with no round sent. If you cancel, or we stop work for any reason, before a month's correspondence has been sent, you owe nothing for that month.
  • Third-party costs. Reviewing your file requires a credit monitoring subscription so we can see all three reports and verify changes each month. If you don't have one, we recommend Credit Hero Score, currently $1 for the first 7 days and $19.95 per month after. That is paid by you directly to that company, is not a First Lane Credit fee, and is not marked up by us. We may receive a referral fee if you subscribe through our link. You may use a different monitoring service, and you may cancel monitoring at any time.

Section 07

Your right to cancel

You may cancel your contract, without penalty or obligation, at any time before midnight of the third business day after the date you signed it. Two copies of the Notice of Cancellation below are attached to your agreement.

You may also stop service at any time after that period. There is no minimum term, no contract length, and no cancellation fee. You will be billed only for months in which a round was already sent out on your behalf, and you are never charged for a month after you cancel.

Notice of Cancellation

You may cancel your contract, without any penalty or obligation, within three business days from the date the contract is signed.

If you cancel, any payment made by you under this contract will be returned within 10 days following receipt by the seller of your cancellation notice.

To cancel this contract, mail or deliver a signed, dated copy of this cancellation notice, or any other written notice to:

First Lane Financial LLC

DBA First Lane Credit

Email: [email protected]

not later than midnight of the third business day following the date you signed the contract.

I hereby cancel this transaction.

Your state may give you additional or longer cancellation rights. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under state law. A waiver of any CROA right is void and cannot be enforced against you.

Section 08

Your rights under federal law

You have the right to dispute inaccurate information in your credit report by contacting the credit reporting agency directly, at no cost to you. You are never required to use a credit repair organization.

You have the right to obtain a copy of your credit report, to have inaccurate information corrected or deleted, to sue a credit repair organization that violates CROA, and to cancel your contract as described in Section 07.

Accurate, current, and verifiable information cannot be permanently removed from your credit report. Negative information that is accurate generally remains for seven years, and a bankruptcy for ten.

Read the full disclosure

The complete "Consumer Credit File Rights Under State and Federal Law" statement is published separately and is provided to you in writing before you sign anything.

Consumer Credit File Rights →

You may report a problem with any credit repair organization, including us, to the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau at consumerfinance.gov, the Federal Trade Commission at reportfraud.ftc.gov, or your state attorney general.

Section 09

Couple's plans

A couple's plan is a billing arrangement, not a joint contract. Each adult signs a separate agreement, receives their own credit file rights disclosure, and holds their own independent three-day cancellation right.

Either person may cancel without affecting the other. If one person cancels, the remaining file continues at the individual monthly rate from the next billed month forward. We will not discuss one person's credit file with the other without that person's written authorization, even where the two are married.

Section 10

Calls, texts, and email

When you submit a form on our site you may tick a box consenting to be contacted by phone call, text message, and email. That consent is optional and separate from your service agreement.

  • Consent is not a condition of purchase. You can become a client, and receive every service, without agreeing to marketing calls or texts. Service-related messages about your own file are part of the engagement.
  • Message frequency and cost. Frequency varies with your file activity. Message and data rates may apply. We do not charge for messages.
  • How to stop. Reply STOP to any text message to opt out, or HELP for assistance. You can also call or email us. Opting out of texts does not cancel your service.
  • Carriers. Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

How we collect, use, secure, and retain your information is described in our Privacy Policy. We do not sell your personal information.

Section 11

Mortgage services and conflicts of interest

Our founder is a licensed mortgage loan originator, NMLS #2530213. You should understand exactly what that means for you.

  • Separate services. Credit repair services and mortgage origination are separate. Buying one is never a condition of receiving the other.
  • Only if you ask. We do not require, pressure, or condition anything on you using our founder as your loan originator. That happens only at your request.
  • Your existing loan officer. If you already have a mortgage professional, we will work with them at your direction and provide your Blueprint to them on your written authorization.
  • No referral fees for mortgage business. We do not pay or accept any fee, kickback, or thing of value in exchange for the referral of settlement service business, consistent with the Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act.

Nothing on this site is an offer of credit, a commitment to lend, a pre-approval, or a rate quote. Credit repair services do not include mortgage advice, and no mortgage decision is made or influenced by whether you purchase our services.

Section 12

If someone referred you to us

We operate a referral program, and the person who sent you here may receive compensation if you become a paying client. That does not change your price, your terms, or the work we do.

A referral partner is not our employee or agent, is not authorized to promise you any result, quote you any price other than our published pricing, or give you credit, legal, or tax advice. Only First Lane Credit is bound by these terms and your agreement.

We do not pay referral compensation in connection with any federally related mortgage loan or other real estate settlement service.

Section 13

Where we operate

We provide services in every U.S. state except Georgia. Georgia law restricts the provision of credit repair services for compensation, so we do not accept Georgia residents as clients and do not charge them any fee.

If you move to Georgia during service, tell us and we will close your file at no further charge. Some states impose additional requirements on credit services organizations, and where state law gives you greater protection than these terms, that state law applies.

Section 14

Results, examples, and testimonials

Results vary by individual and depend entirely on what your credit reports contain and how each credit reporting agency and furnisher responds. No specific score increase, deletion, approval, interest rate, or timeline is promised or guaranteed.

Any chart, score figure, or progress illustration on our website is a sample of our reporting format, not a client outcome, an average, or a projection of what your file will do.

Client statements are individual experiences shared with written permission and are not representative of every client. Clients are not paid for their statements.

Section 16

General terms

  • Your signed agreement controls. If anything on this page conflicts with your signed client agreement or with a required legal disclosure, that document governs.
  • Website terms. This page also governs your use of our website. Content is ours or used with permission and may not be reproduced commercially without written consent.
  • Changes. We may update these terms. The effective date at the top reflects the current version, and material changes will not be applied retroactively to services already performed under your existing agreement.
  • No waiver of your rights. Any purported waiver by you of a protection under CROA is void. Nothing here limits any statutory right you hold.
  • Governing law. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas and applicable federal law, without limiting the protections of the consumer-protection law of your state of residence.
  • Disputes. If a problem arises, contact us first — most issues are resolved by a phone call. Your right to bring an action under CROA, including a class action, is not waived by these terms.
  • Severability. If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.

Questions about these terms?

Ask before you sign anything. If a term here is unclear, that is our problem to fix, not yours to guess at.
